Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel

We are presently working with a well-regarded Shipowner on their search for a Legal Counsel (Shipping) to be based in their office in the Netherlands.

The successful candidate will join a boutique but well established and respected legal function, offering legal and support to a wide variety of business lines across multiple European, Asian, and Middle Eastern jurisdictions. The responsibilities of the role are relatively broad in nature covering shipping and offshore matters including managing marine and insurance disputes, negotiating sale and purchase agreements and general contract negotiation and management.

The client is seeking applications from England & Wales and/or other common law qualified Lawyers with a minimum of 4 years PQE ideally gained in the Shipping/Marine practice of an International Law Firm or an existing in-house position within the marine/shipping/offshore sectors.

The role will be based in the Netherlands and therefore candidates should be based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate. Sponsorship and relocation assistance will be offered.
