We are currently working with a frequent client of ours to find the right fit for an associate position in their dry shipping team in the north of England. One of the most reputable firms in the world, this is an opportunity to work in one of the few teams outside London to be consistently involved in some of the best dry shipping work on offer.

The team have been commended for their work in all contentious and commercial facets of shipping contracts, encompassing shipbuilding contracts, management agreements, charterparties and bills of lading, for clients including traders, insurers, charterers, ship managers and owners.

Being in good contact with the partners, we are well-placed to outline some of the advantages of finding your place in the team:

  • Good work environment: Definitely one of the more personable teams in which to work, not altogether common in the industry, you can look forward to a positive office culture of mutual support, valued as an associate and as a professional.
  • High quality caseload: An international name with a high-tier reputation, the team has the pick of its cases across the board in shipping litigation, promising important and varied disputes.
  • Unrivalled opportunity for development: the team’s close-knit operation means direct access to the expertise of partners. Noted in the legal 500, they are keen to pass on their skills and improve associates who see themselves progressing to a high standard in the legal industry.

The partners have suggested this position is perfect for junior associates with ties to the north, and at least some experience in shipping litigation. If the role suits your interest, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
