Wadkins Associates are exclusively working with a global shipowner, who are searching for a qualified lawyer (from any jurisdiction) to fill a coveted in-house position within their London office. With few in-house opportunities available, we are excited to bring something new to the market.
The company manages an extensive fleet with a global reach. They sit within a wider company offering legal support to a variety of subsidiary firms including an offshore and renewables business. The work is both contentious and non-contentious, involving advice on legal, commercial, and practical matters. You can expect to cover corporate work, financial restructuring as well as some compliance matters. In addition, you will take part in charterparties and bills of lading, respond to claims and emergencies, and oversee insurance, supplier agreements, and contract renewals, as well as ship sale and purchases.
These main advantages stood out for us when conversing with the head of the team:
Our client is keen to consider qualified lawyers that are currently working in a law firm, inhouse or at a P&I club. The role would be perfect for someone who will get stuck into a range of responsibilities with diligence and enthusiasm.
If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to discuss the market in detail, please get in touch.
