Wadkins Associates are working exclusively on an exciting opportunity to join a London shipowner. A rare and highly sought-after role, we are keen to bring this in-house opportunity to the market.

Our client manages a significant fleet with a diverse range of vessels. You would be responsible for a broad range of responsibilities from a contentious and non-contentious perspective. The role includes providing legal, commercial and practical advice including reviewing charterparties and bills of lading, claims and emergencies, insurance, security, contract renewals, supplier agreements and ship sale and purchases.

Through our conversation with the head of the team, we have pinpointed some of the real advantages in joining the group:

  • No one day the same: This in-house role provides the opportunity for varied and interesting work. You will be able to broaden your experience across commercial shipping, replete with training for any areas you have not yet covered in your career.
  • Work & life in balance: A chance to step away from billable hours whilst still working across an international platform. Enjoy valuable work in a consistently-structured workday.
  • Best of both worlds: They are looking to maintain work from home flexibility, and after initial on-site training, you could work from home three days a week.

Our client is keen to find an England & Wales qualified candidate, between NQ and 5 PQE. This role is best suited for someone who will roll up their sleeves and take on a new set of responsibilities with a close attention to detail.

If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to discuss the market in detail, please get in touch.
