The Clubs market is undoubtedly a stimulating opportunity for associates with a desire to experience active reactions to FD&D incidents. Our client, a pre-eminent Club, is seeking an outstanding junior associate to work alongside their lawyers and underwriters in Piraeus in responding to dry shipping disputes.
Our client emphasises quality of work in conjunction with a favourable work/life balance. Moreover, the culture at the Club, and especially in Piraeus, is collegiate and cooperative where group performance and achievement is recognised and rewarded.
The chosen candidate will predominantly work on dry matters, although there is a wet offering. Our client is the preferred Club for leading ship owners and is regularly instructed on charter party and bills of lading disputes, in addition to ship building litigation. Additionally, because the Club operates at an exceptionally high level, excellent training and support is provided to ensure steady progression and development.
The successful candidate will be an England & Wales junior associate with at least 2 years of post qualification shipping experience gained at a leading international private practice firm with a drive to progress their career at a leading Club in Piraeus. In addition, an LLM in maritime law is highly desirable for this position.
