We are currently working with an IG club to hire a Claims Executive in Piraeus. Having worked with them internationally previously, we are able to provide detailed advice on the role, the company and the working environment.
The firm has a large legal team and keeps most of the legal work in-house, allowing for great exposure to a broad spectrum of claims and high-quality work. The work will be broad in nature and cover both P&I and FD&D claims. The claims executive will be given the ability to run with their own claims from day one, providing a great opportunity for lawyers wanting to get stuck in.
The role will be based in Piraeus which is known as the heart of the shipping world. This gives the claims executive direct access to the Greek shipping market and offers great networking potential with global ship owners. In this job you will be a key contact for clients, providing continuous client interaction and full exposure to the range of claims.
The renumeration is above market rate for similar roles at other P&I clubs, and in line with many private practice firms. This offers a great opportunity for a Greek or UK qualified lawyer with previous experience in an international law firm.
If this role could be of interest, we would be happy to discuss the specifics of the opportunity in more detail.

A boutique private practice, specialising in shipping law, located in Paris is looking to expand their practice in France with the addition of a mid to senior associate. We are working with the Managing Partner to find the best fit for the firm and advise you throughout the interview process.
You will be joining a small but close-knit team. The partners are well-regarded and have a wealth of experience in all aspects of contentious wet and dry shipping. You will have the freedom and flexibility to work on either depending on your client base.
In our view, the main draws of this job are:
You will be either French or England & Wales qualified with experience in shipping law. There are no restrictions on PQE per se, but lawyers with a following will benefit more from the remuneration structure.
If the above position has caught your interest, do get in touch for a discreet discussion about this opportunity.
