VACANCY DESCRIPTION
Wadkins Associates are assisting an international trading house in their search for a senior in-house lawyer to join their Singapore team.
This is a disputes focused role where you will be working on shipping related disputes, day to day issues such as demurrage claims and commodities trades disputes. Experience in shipping litigation, arbitration as well as GAFTA and FOSFA terms are necessary for this role. You will also have the opportunity to work on more commercial matters for the trading house as well as drafting and reviewing a wide variety of contracts.
In this role, you will be instructing lawyers from major firms, acting in a decisive manner to manage their time and work. This would best suit an individual who is confident in making decisions and can work autonomously, without significant supervision.
The team are friendly and collegiate, you will be supported by talented junior lawyers and international legal teams working collaboratively across a range of cases in a dynamic work environment.
